Centre International d'Antibes is now offering 3 cultural studies programmes combining French classes in the morning with themed workshops in the afternoon -
· A course on "The cuisine and wines of Provence" provides the opportunity in French to taste the best wines, to understand the art of honey and olive production and to make preserves and tarts. Click here for details.
· A course on "Modern art and lifestyles on the Riviera" offers the chance to visit the places where the artists who made the Côte d'Azur famous lived and worked - Antibes (Picasso), Nice (Matisse), St-Paul de Vence (Miro, Giacometti) and Cagnes-sur-mer (Renoir). Click here for details.
· A course on "The scents, colours and flavours of the south" gives students the chance to learn how to create a perfume, to shop at the market with a Provencal cook, to recognize the herbs and plants of Provence and to understand the way of life of a Provencal family. Click here for details.

Another interesting initiative at IS Aix-en-Provence proposes a course of "French with painting workshops". With the help of professional artist, Mme Monique FAILLARD, students practise painting still lives and Provencal landscapes. Click here for details.

Biarritz, the surfing and golfing capital of France - BLS Biarritz, a new member of SOUFFLE, aims to provide courses which meet the needs of students seeking sports opportunities. The Jean Monnet University in Saint-Etienne, as part of its Edufrance programme, is offering a Masters course in Economics and Management which includes an entrance route aimed specifically at foreign students. This advanced training course comprises a semester of cultural and linguistic familiarisation based at CILEC. Click here for details.

New for juniors - BLS Campus International is organising seaside junior courses for 11-15 year-olds at Le Pradet near Toulon. Classes are held in the mornings and the sports activities organised in the afternoon are shared with French youngsters as all the young people are accommodated in the same residence, Le Mas d'Artaude. Azurlingua is now offering a seniors' residential course combining French with a programme of cultural activities. There are 3 hours of classes a day focusing on oral work and French civilization plus one activity - visit, excursion, wine tasting, sampling a typical restaurant, etc.

L'institut de Touraine is organising a seminar on 27 May 2005 in collaboration with the University of Lyon 2 on the subject of "Integrating Chinese students into French language courses". The seminar follows on from previous meetings but on this occasion is intended to focus more closely on the teaching side of this problem. Millefeuille Provence, situated among vineyards about 20 km from Avignon, is housed in a former Provencal farmhouse and silkworm nursery which accommodates students and classes. Click here for details.
